TREKKING DURATION

The trekking usually starts in the morning and finishes in the afternoon back in Bukit Lawang village. The trekking difficulty is moderate, suitable for travelers with a normal level of fitness.

ITINERARY

The adventure begins at 8:30 AM when our guide picks you up directly from your hotel or guesthouse in Bukit Lawang village. Shortly after at 8:50 AM, we gather at the Bukit Lawang Orangutan Tour meeting point for a short briefing covering the trekking program and safety guidelines inside Gunung Leuser National Park.

By 9:00 AM, the real adventure begins as we step into the rainforest and start our jungle trek. Along the way, our guide will lead you through beautiful jungle trails in search of wild Sumatran orangutans and other fascinating wildlife, while also sharing knowledge about the plants, animals, and the incredible ecosystem that makes this rainforest so unique. Around midday, we pause for a well-deserved break to enjoy fresh tropical fruits prepared by your guide.

After the break, we continue deeper into another part of the rainforest, where there is yet another chance to spot wildlife in their natural habitat. As the afternoon sets in, we make our way back to Bukit Lawang village, where the trekking tour wraps up conveniently near your accommodation — leaving you with unforgettable memories of a truly immersive jungle experience.
